Job Opportunity: Certified TESOL Native English-Speaking Teachers

Position: Online TESOL Teacher (Contract Basis)
Location: Remote (Online)
Minimum Hours: 4 hours per week
Maximum Hours: 24 hours per week

We are looking for qualified Certified TESOL Native English-Speaking Teachers to join our growing team and teach adult learners in General English and Business English. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced educators who are passionate about teaching and enjoy the flexibility of working online.

Qualifications:

  • Native English speakers with a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • TESOL certification is required.
  • Over 3 years of in-person or online teaching experience for those with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Masters degree in a relevant field and at least 1 year of in-person or online teaching experience is also acceptable.
  • A copy of your degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) will be required for verification. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Adult Learners: Conduct engaging lessons in General English and Business English to adult students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Follow Provided Lesson Plans: Use the structured lesson plans we provide to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons that meet students' learning goals.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain an interactive, supportive, and professional online classroom environment.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer timely, constructive feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Adhere to Scheduling: Commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week and a maximum of 24 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust your schedule.
  • Student Progress Tracking: Keep accurate records of student progress and performance, as required.

Technical Requirements for Online Teaching

To ensure a seamless and high-quality learning experience for our adult learners, all applicants for online TESOL teaching positions must meet the following technical requirements:

  1. Computer Specifications:

    • Processor: Minimum Intel i5 or equivalent.
    • RAM: At least 8 GB (16 GB recommended for optimal performance).
    • Storage: Minimum 256 GB SSD.
    • Operating System: Windows 10 or macOS (latest version preferred).
  2. Internet Connection:

    • Speed: Minimum 5 Mbps for both download and upload (10 Mbps or higher recommended).
    • Stability: A reliable wired connection (Ethernet) is preferred. Wi-Fi may be used if stable.
  3. Audio and Video Equipment:

    • Webcam: HD webcam (720p or 1080p).
    • Microphone: External microphone (USB or 3.5mm jack) for clear audio.
    • Headphones: Noise-canceling headphones or headset to eliminate background noise.
  4. Software and Platforms:

    • Familiarity with video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype.
    • Proficiency with screen-sharing and virtual classroom tools.
    • Experience with Google Docs/Sheets/Slides or Microsoft Office for lesson planning and sharing materials.
    • Optional: Knowledge of digital whiteboards (e.g., Jamboard, Miro) is a plus.
  5. Backup Plan:

    • A backup device (tablet or secondary laptop) in case of technical issues.
    • A reliable power supply or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to prevent disruptions during lessons.
    • Mobile data as a secondary internet connection is recommended.
  6. Technical Competency:

    • Comfort and experience with troubleshooting basic tech issues (audio/video settings, platform navigation).
    • Ability to perform a pre-class tech check to ensure everything runs smoothly.
